The role of career counseling is not to find and give an individual a job. The relationship between a career counselor and their client is interactive. The career counselor helps the client identify the area where they should seek employment, so they can make the best use of their strengths, skills, education, and interests.
The counselor guides the client on the path toward their dream job. A professional career counselor helps the client write an attractive resume that will catch the attention of potential employers and prepares them for a job interview, so they can handle it with ease, and provides consultations or other options for personal development.
